Route details

Day 1
Arrival - Pickup from Colombo, Negombo or Airport to Dambulla

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, or if you're already in Colombo or Negombo, your driver will pick you up from your hotel. Start your journey towards Dambulla, which is about a 4 to 5-hour drive from Colombo, or shorter if you're starting from Negombo.

  • Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple complex upon arrival, exploring the impressive cave temples filled with ancient Buddhist art and statues.
  • After the temple visit, proceed to Sigiriya, which is about a 30-minute drive from Dambulla.
  • Enjoy a climb up Sigiriya Rock to witness the beautiful sunset from the top. Make sure to allow sufficient time for this experience.
  • After descending from Sigiriya, check in to your hotel in the Sigiriya/Dambulla area. Enjoy a delicious Sri Lankan dinner at your hotel.

  • entrance ticket fees for Dambulla Cave, Sigiriya Rock, Temple of tooth, Peradeniya Botanical Garden, and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

  • visa fees, airfare, and any insurance;

It's important to know

Cancellation of booking

In case of booking cancellation the next policy applies. Tourists will receive a full amount they paid for the reservation in case they cancel more than 35 days in advance of the tour start date. In the event of cancellation within the period of 34 to 16 days before the tour start date - they are entitled to receive 50% of the booking amount. Cancelations made within 15 days before the tour starts will not be entitled to a refund.

    I must commend the company that looked after us for their exceptional, top-notch service with a personal touch and advanced amenities. We were accompanied by a dedicated driver from the company, and I must admit, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The excursion to the orphanage and the Sigiriya cliff was truly remarkable. Our guide even ascended with me to the very top of the cliff, making it both a challenging and enjoyable experience.
