Central and Norhern Mongolia Tour

Today we move to ancient Mongolian Capital called Kharkhorum/Kharkhorin in the modern language, and see the Erdene-Zuu monastery, a famous monastery from the middle ages and Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. Overnight in ger camp.

Drive to Tariat soum of Arkhangay province to see Terkhyn Tsagaan Lake National Park and Khorgo, the one of the biggest burnt volcano crater in Mongolia. The volcano was active around 8000 years ago. The crater depth is about 100 and 400 meters wide and its surrounding areas covered with up to 50 meters of lava. The sign of lava continues for around 100 km through the valley of Chuluut river.  Around the lake and volcano you can make hiking, its surrounding environment is just incredible. Overnight in ger.

Take a trip to Moron City in Khovsgol province. Khovsgol provides an enormous part of Mongolia's forest and fresh water. Khovsgol lake, the Blue Pearl, is a well-known location due to its beautiful high mountains with larch, pine and spruce trees. Overnight in tent around Delgermoron river.

Go to the Travel to Khovsgol Lake National park. The Khovsgol Lake in the national park is well-known for its crystal clear waters. Containing around 1 percent of the world's freshwater, it is also the second-biggest freshwater lake worldwide. Beautiful larch and pine trees surround the lake, which has a length of 136km and a width of approximately 40km. This is the only place where we can take a picture with reindeer and yaks. Numerous tourist camps offer a variety of interesting activities for tourists. Overnight in ger camp.

Today we’ll stay at the camp all day and rest. You can manage your day as you wish. Here are the ideas of things to do: horse riding, jet boat, hiking, visiting nomads family, swimming and tasting traditional foods and other activities are available for your interest. Overnight in ger camp.

It is approximately 350 km from Khovsgol Lake. The mineral springs in Hanui river are well-known for their healing properties for the human body. Overnight in tent.

Travel to Amarbaysgalant monastery. The monastery was built in early 18th Century, which was dedicated to St. Zanabazar the first Bogd of Mongolia. It is considered that there were over 6000 monks lived in 50 temples. Unfortunately, communists destroyed the monastery during the Great Revolution in 1930s. In 1944, the monastery was protected by the state and rebuilt. Overnight in tent.

Travel to Ulaanbaatar early in the morning and arrive before noon. After lunch in the afternoon we go to see Chinggis Khaan Statue complex. When we return to Ulaanbaatar we visit a store to purchase some cashmere and souvenirs. Mongolian cashmere products are getting very famous in the world market with its best quality and price. Overnight in hotel.
